Overview

The Texcel Information Manager (IM) document computing system is based on the UniSQL relational-object hybrid database. Intended for demanding publishing applications, IM supports secure, collaborative authoring with reuse, versioning, and the usual database amenities. IM assembles information for distribution on a Web site or intranet, in print, or via specialized electronic delivery systems.

IM manages all file types with most complete support for XML and SGML.

Database: UniSQL/X, with additional database ports to be added

Authoring: Frame+SGML, ArborText ADEPT, and all ActiveX-compliant content-creation tools

Texcel was acquired by Interleaf in 1999.
