AppletVIEW

Version: 2.0
Company: Nacimiento Software Corporation

Overview

The AppletVIEW Toolkit uses the power and flexibility of Java and TCP/IP to allow you to control and access your virtual instrumentation system from anywhere on a network. AppletVIEW gives developers new freedom and flexibility to build distributed instrumentation systems allowing web browsers to be used to control and monitor test equipment, experiments, processes, machines, instruments and physical devices remotely from anywhere in the world. No Java programming needed.

AppletVIEW 2.0 is compatible with LabVIEW 5 and 6, and Java 1.1 through 1.3. The open architecture can support other technologies as well, such as CORBA, JMS, C/C++, Visual Basic, etc.

AppletVIEW uses VIML (Virtual Instruments Markup Language), a DTD for describing location, protocol and device information for a network of virtual instrumentation devices and/or systems.

VIML has been submitted to xml.org and is currently under development.
