Dreamweaver 2 Supports XML

November 9, 1998

Macromedia announced today that Dreamweaver 2, an upgrade to its popular Web authoring tool, includes XML support. Macromedia says Dreamweaver 2 will parse and handle roundtrip editing of XML; customers can define XML tags using the product's tag database. In addition, designers can add new XML objects to the Dreamweaver object palette and create property inspectors for editing XML. The roundtrip XML support extends to Dreamweaver templates, which can import and export XML-encoded documents.

Dreamweaver 2 is due out next month and is expected to carry a street price of $300.
