XML Europe 2000

XML Europe 2000 starts today (Monday) in Paris, France. Hosted by the GCA, the show runs all week, comprising tutorials, special interest tracks, plenary sessions, panels, and an exposition.

Throughout the week, XML.com will be reporting daily from the conference, covering the latest news and hot products. Edd Dumbill, Managing Editor, and XML-Deviant columnist Leigh Dodds will be writing direct from Paris.

XML.com is proud to be a co-host of the XML Europe 2000 conference, and is participating in the proceedings in several ways. In particular, look out for the following:

O'Reilly Media Panel: "Is WAP Necessary?" on Wednesday, 11:00am-12:30pm. Dave Sims chairs a panel discussing Wireless Application Protocol technologies and their relation to the XML and developer world.
Closing Keynote: The State of XML: XML.com editor Edd Dumbill considers the state of XML technologies, and what the future has to hold. Friday, 2.30pm.

XML Europe spans the gamut of XML technologies, applications, and industries. For example, SGML and XML publishing technologies feature prominently in the program, accompanying the more usual suspects of e-business and W3C XML technology.

Each of the eight tracks caters to a well-defined audience, from management to developers, print publishers to wireless ones!
