Article:
XML Forms, Web Services and Apache Cocoon

Why do you make it so difficult to contact the author of these pieces? There is a link to a brief bio under the author name, but there is no email address. I go to the author's company BMC Software, not a bit of information about the principals of the company; a search for the author's last name comes up empty. In a word this "sucks."

Now, this is the second or third article I've seen about XForms, a hot topic these days. All of them have made reference to the Cocoon 2.1 distribution and the sample XMLForms application. I'd like to look at that sample. I go to the Cocoon site looking to download Cocoon 2.1 and, in the download area, what do I find? Certainly not Cocoon 2.1.

If you are serious about promoting standards and this standard in general, not to mention the work done by the Apache/Cocoon effort, why do you make it so hard to get further information? I've wasted 15 or 20 minutes of my time trying to overcome your poor communications and I'm fed up. XForms? Who needs it?

You can find instructions for downloading and installing Cocoon from CVS at:
    http://xml.apache.org/cocoon/faq/faq-cvs.html

I would prefer discussion about this article to remain on this site.
However if you still insist to contact me directly, I can be reached at ivelin@apache.org
