Nice article. But when I try to access the demo portal in cocoon I get the following error: http://localhost/cocoon/sunspotdemoportal Cocoon 2 - Internal server error type fatal message null description java.lang.NullPointerException sender org.apache.cocoon.servlet.CocoonServlet source Cocoon servlet I use Tomcat 4 and the binary distr. of Cocoon 2.0.4 under XP Is it really necessary to rebuild Cocoon from scratch to use the portal functionality ??   For what I can see you have done at least one error:
  localhost is not enough. You have to point to the 8080 port. Try localhost:8080.
  Second in effect I don't think that the scratchpad libs are included in the binary distribution.
