 SVG's Past and Promising Future
Subject: Corel Viewer and SVG Switch
Date: 2002-12-05 08:56:42
From: Richard Rathmann

I just downloaded and installed the Corel Preview Release SVG Viewer. It's a nice start but I noticed some things like raster images, dotted lines, compressed SVG, and some Javascript (which all work in the Adober Viewer) that it couldn't seem to handle.

Also, noticed that the SVG Switch only seems to work for IE. The Corel Viewer has taken over my Netscape 4.7x browser and will not relinquish control back to Adobe at all, even after a reinstall of the Adobe Viewer.
