I laughed when I saw this phrase: never far from the lips of any XP developer: avoid BDUF ('Big Design Up Front') As a DBA I love that as XP takes hold I find more and more crappy dynamic sql statements embedded inside of code... Use stored procedures, test joins, structure tables effectively...aw man you are holding us up... that is all I hear... I still say 15 minutes of design saves 15 days of trying to figure out why performance sucks. -jfc-
