Article:
 RDF, What's It Good For?
Subject: nice work
Date: 2002-11-16 16:02:46
From: Danny Ayers

As ever. I get your column on my Palm but frequently forget to check if its been updated. My ego is grateful I did today ;-)

I note you didn't mention Sun's use of RDF for their own knowledge management, I'm assuming for lack of supporting refs - 've 14st had an unsuccessful search myself. It was Eric Miller that mentioned this, I'll pester him for some more info.

Anyhow, looks like you'll have plenty of material for next week's column! In case you missed it, there's also been a side thread at http://weblog.burningbird.net/fires/000661.htm
which includes a comment from Tim Bray.

For the record, I've also posted my "RDF in 500 Words" here : http://www.citnames.com/2002/11/rdf500.htm

I look forward to hearing more about your own experiments - I've not tried rdflib yet, mostly just use Jena.

Incidentally, you weren't referring to my Uncle Norman, who had a wooden leg and ran a grocers?

Perhaps not, unless you've seen RDF hopping up and down singing a rude song that began "Auntie Mary had a canary..."

Cheers,
Danny.
