Does anyone have any hard info on why this popular bill was suddenly delayed? Could it have anything to do with the administration favoring business interests?
Thanks for your question. As I understand it, the bill got stuck in the queue behind budget bills, which generally take priority because of time-sensitivity. There will also be a new chair of the Senate Health,Education, Labor and Pensions Committee (probably Judd Gregg, R-NH, who was ranking Republican) when the 108th Congress convenes.
