Hmm. And I thought the two nits were going to be that my end tags didn't match. :) You're right that XMLCDATA is not the CDATA terminator -- not sure where that error crept in.


As for unparsed and notations, those are only valid with DTD's and SOAP doesn't allow DTD's.


On the string/Base-64 front, perhaps my wording was a little sloppy; encoding a GIF as Base64 and declaring it as Base64 loses the GIF typing. Make sense?
