Thanks for an informative and helpful article. In [[[ a struggle between "Web Services" and the "Semantic Web". The former was thought to be rooted in the W3C and academia, the latter in IBM-Microsoft-Sun and industry. ]]] I believe that "former" and "latter" (or their referents) are reversed.
