 Digging Animation
Subject: Animation static in Opera
Date: 2002-02-14 21:31:15
From: Hedley Finger

I viewed the examples in Opera 6.0, build 1010, running on Windows 2000. The layer of cubes appears and when I right-click the image the context menu of Adobe SVG Viewer appears. This applies even to the *.svgz zipped version.
But the cubes do not bounce on mouse-over -- they just lie there.
In Internet Explorer 6.0 the cubes bounce just as in the Flash animation. What do I need to do to get Opera to show the animation correctly?

It seems that there is a bug in Operas Scriptengine in Version 6 again. I tried it with Version 5.12 and it did work.

    Hello,

Adobe does not officially support Opera for the time being (see http://www.adobe.com/svg/indepth/faq.html#installother). You can also ask Adobe to support Opera on their feedback form at http://www.adobe.com/svg/feedback/bugreport.html. Sorry I don't have the knowledge to help you :(

    Antoine
