I was curious if anyone else thinks that this is a monopoly starting to happen? What happens if the w3c starts to only approve one vendor because they have all the w3c recommendations... Wouldn't that become a monopoly? what is the point of US Federal guidelines? Maybe I don't understand that why doesn't the goevernment use the w3c for now but to come out and say that there is NO competition allowed seems a little unreasonable. Why not be more general? but I guess they would be standards if everyone used different ones....
