In the past four months I have been engaged trying to learn XML, AS3, Flex and Flash. I'm a designer and illustrator. I did lots of research for months and spoke with some very informed people and they assured me XML has a promising future. So I was quite convinced that I could change my career direction and become a Flex programmer. Then I find this article. There are many titles for this article that would have been more appropriate. Not everyone has the in depth understanding to sort out the issues you present or the dismal conclusion. Making such declarations openly on the web brings confusion to those who don't understand. Flicking sparks on gunpowder you are.
