Lars, You're right - the if/then/else (and for each) structures are part of XPath 2, which is incorporated into XQuery. Since most people are not familiar with the new XPath 2 recommendation, however, the statement seemed reasonable from an explanatory standpoint even if it wasn't strictly correct.
