Article:
 Is XML 2.0 Under Development?
Subject: Mobile web acceptance of XHTML
Date: 2007-01-27 06:27:34
From: DavidJohansson

With regards to why the mobile corners have accepted XHTML, it's all about what you as a developer are forced to do to make your content display on the phones. Sure, http://simon.html5.org/articles/mobile-results shows that a lot of browsers don't particularly care about XHTML anyway, but with the market share the Motorola V3 got, the fact that it does care about XHTML is enough to force any mobile developer to make sure that their content is compliant.
