Of course, making an HTTP request to encryptme.org sends the text over the wire in the clear. If it was HTTPS, it could just about work, but it’s an open question whether the XSLT processor supports that. And whether you can trust the person or organisation behind encryptme.org is another big question mark.


So this is rather an example of what you’d use locally running, XSLT processor specific extension functions à la EXSLT for.
