Just read my article :) http://www.xml.com/pub/a/2005/05/11/ajax-error.html I think that Ajax is currently in a very transitional state. It is starting to gain steam at a time when the next generation (DOM3 - Load and Save, Web Forms 2.0) are already well underway. I think it is useful to start thinking in terms of Ajax-style architecture, but I would avoid investing too much in any tools or platforms at this point.
