I believe that on windows you need to use a different method to get an XMLHttpRequest object:


new ActiveXObject("Microsoft.XMLHTTP");

    sarissa is a cross-browser javascript library as mentioned in the article, IIRC on IE it basically wraps the activeXObject by checking if the object exists.


    I suppose Sarissa could also work in Wscript in the same way.
