Subject: Is it that that bad? What about RDF Schema?
Date: 2005-02-21 05:47:08
From: spdegabrielle

Is it that that bad? There seem to be heaps of people out there using FOAF and RSS(rdf) . These efforts seem successful - in that they allow users to make assertions and let others draw on these assertions for different tasks.
(while not rdf, the other syndication formats seem to allow much the same functionality - essentially making assertions in a machine readable format)

What about RDF Schema?
Can't you just define one ala Dublin Core? Keeping it simple so you can still use XSLT to transform as needed? (I note that no one has a problem with writing apps or scripts to handle the various RSS and other syndication formats.)

Am I barking up the wrong tree here? Or did I miss the point?
