I am using the same xsl as you are. Nevertheless I still have some trouble getting rid of the tabs and cr. In fact, when I display it into a tree, I get some empty leafs. The only difference I can see is that I am using "*" instead of the root element name. Do you have any idea of what could be the reason?

  Which stylesheet do you mean, what do you mean by "empty leafs," and which XSLT processor are you using?
