Ummm...did something happen to the forum database? Or are postings being deleted. I posted a comment a few weeks back, and it is now gone. Mine wasn't terribly significant, but the best comment I saw posted here is also gone, a lengthy and intelligent rebuttal of most of this article by someone with insights about the intentions behind these RFCs (and who I think had participated in their creation).

    I think you'll find if you search on my name in this page you'll see only this post and the one your replied to. I know my post got through because I saw it later when I came back, the same time I read the other more meaty post by someone else which I remember quite distinctly can no longer find either (and it's not that long a page of comments).

    
    I beleive this other post came right after or close after mine in sequence so if there was some glitch (crash and restore from recent backup?) it makes sense that they both would be lost.
