Writing Your Own Functions in XSLT 2.0
Subject: Error

It's hard to tell without seeing the rest of your stylesheet. For example, I don't see any calls to the function you've defined.

If it's a problem with Saxon 7, Mike Kay will want to know about it, so I'd try asking on the Saxon mailing list at http://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/saxon-help.

remove the character / at the end of the following line.

    <xsl:function name="foo:formatCID"><xsl:param name="contid"/>

    Then it will work fine.
