I was one of several from RDF and Topicmaps who helped with Jonathan Robie's paper. You can query RDF using XML query if you change the syntax and write functions, just as you can query it using XSLT or Perl or whatever if you do the same thing. Not to denegrate Robie's interesting paper though.
