I should specify that this was in response to:
" you can even convert this to a calendar using Irving Probst's XSLT stylesheet" in which the linked to stylesheet has a version 1.0 and uses xsl:document

Based on the docs it looks like he's using xsltproc, which is part of Daniel Veillard's
GNOME XSLT C library
. Hope that helps.
