Without fail, every hope I have of getting a BRIEF and USEFUL description of XML is dashed! Here again, for a Chinese questioner, no less, the description blah blah blahs on a quick background then onto format and then onto syntax. Who cares! Does one discuss tolerances of materials when describing how an engine works?! Start simple.
All I want to know are the pratical steps on how I would be able to sit down at my computer, write some XML, and see the results. Do I need to install something on my server? Do I need to create my tags in a file that the XML doc refernces? Do I need to buy a book or can I go to a site?
