...to being convincing. The use of a single namespace for Atom in RDF isn't really the big deal you suggest, so the syntax comparison you make isn't at all balanced. It simply isn't comparing like with like. It's easy enough to express dc:title owl:isEquivalentTo atom:title or whatever in a schema, well out of the way of the feeds themselves. Tools smart enough to grok the RDF model shouldn't have much trouble grokking the equivalence. Simpler syntax, no extra work for the average developer. The current web is a pipe dream. Saying that doesn't affect the constructive work anyone's doing.
