Ian, it looks to me like XPath 2.0 is quite a bit better in this respect than 1.0. Most of the added keywords are words, not punctuation. And they're used in actual sentences! (gasp) Not sure how non-native-English speakers feel about this, but I would think people of your persuasion would be pleased. Lars
