 REST and the Real World
Subject: REST and the REAL browser

I've been building my platform with principles that are very similar to REST long before I had even heard of REST. One issue that is clear to me is the power available to clients. That is, the traditional browser **ONLY** supports GET and POST with exception of some ActiveX (ie MS's msxml) and I suppose other Java applets. I would love to enjoy the use of other verbs (PUT,DELETE,HEAD) but unless I'm designing fat clients or server-server processes, it's likely I'll have to fudge the ideal and cram PUT,DELETE,HEAD inside POST... what a drag...
